About Gold Muzzle
Mark Duclos
Gold Muzzle Sales & Syndications founder
Mark's introduction to greyhound racing came in the mid-1970's when he was mentored by greyhound racing industry stalwarts Ron and Nancy Rudd, who at the time operated Berowra Lodge, and who subsequently stood the champion Irish Sire, Waverly Supreme at stud.
Since that time, Mark has been heavily involved in the industry as an Owner, Trainer and Breeder and currently owns more than 20 greyhounds ranging from pups to race dogs and brood bitches.
Mark also established a successful career in the Television broadcasting industry, in particular in the Greyhound Media sector, and is widely respected and recognised for his innovation in Racing Broadcasting; Programme creation; and the marketing and promotion of the greyhound racing industry.
His first foray into Greyhound Racing media was in 1993 when he created the Greyhound Racing Extra series of videos before commencing a long and distinguished career with the national Racing Broadcaster, Sky Racing. Mark was the concept creator and original Host of 'The Catching Pen' program when Sky Racing first entered the Pay-TV sector in 1998 and since that time, he forged a successful On-Air and Executive Management career with Sky and is a multiple award winning Journalist and Producer.
Establishing a state-of-the-art production studio, his company Analogy Media has produced more than 25,000 pieces of Video content in the past four years by providing Video Previews of greyhound races and race meetings across Australia for wagering operators and statutory bodies, and in 2020, he signed a long term deal with GRNSW to provide Media services across a raft of projects.
But if there is one thing Mark is passionate about, it is undoubtedly the Greyhound Racing industry, and it is from that, and the desire to grow the participant base, that led him to establish Gold Muzzle Sales & Syndications.
He was at the forefront when the Coalition Government launched an attack on the NSW Greyhound Racing industry in 2015, providing extensive media coverage via-Television, Print and Radio, and his support for the industry and the 'grass roots' participants has never wavered.
A key figure in establishing the Richmond Riches Puppy Auction in 2014, one of the Mark's key objectives in establishing Gold Muzzle Sales & Syndications and the associated Auctions and Sales, was to provide an opportunity to enhance ownership and participation in the Greyhound Racing industry; to ensure there was a commercial avenue for Breeders to offer their prized stock for sale; and in conjunction with their Sales and Auctions, create a Race Series offering substantial prizemoney.
The initial Gold Muzzle Puppy Auction in 2019 was an outstanding success with more than 100 pups going through the Sales ring where average prices set an industry record of more than $5,900. The Covid pandemic resulted in the Sale having to be postponed in 2020 but that only ensures that in 2021, it will be even bigger and better. In 2021, Gold Muzzle Sales & Syndications are slated to stage at least four major Sales with their premier event being the Gold Muzzle National Puppy Sale in June, as well as the Winter Ready-to-Race Sale which will enable potential owners the opportunity to literally 'buy a dog one day, and race it the next week.' Mark is always available to answer any queries you may have in conjunction with the Greyhouind Racing industry or how to purchase a greyhound - to contact him directly, just complete all the details on the form below and then submit.
