Gold Muzzle Syndications

If you are looking for an affordable entry point into the world of greyhound racing, why not consider forming a Syndicate with friends, colleagues or workmates? A Syndicate allows people to combine their resources (and finances) to buy a greyhound under a Syndicate name and gives you the opportunity to share the experience with others.
GRNSW says their records show a number of Syndicates are formed through Sporting Clubs, Pubs, Work places and groups of friends that are keen to experience the thrill of greyhound racing.
Syndicates work in much the same way as a Partnership, however, there is an appointed 'Syndicate Manager' who is responsible for managing the affairs of the ownership group, including the distribution of prizemoney and decisions regarding the racing and breeding career of the greyhound.
Prizemoney is paid to one bank account designated by the Syndicate Manager for distribution to the members of the Syndicate based on the varying ownership percentages nominated in the Syndicate application, therefore, GRNSW requires bank account details as part of the Syndicate application and further, all members of the Syndicate must be registered as either and Owner, or Owner/Trainer.
Please note, there are a number of people and/or businesses that publicly offer shares in greyhounds, but unless they have an AFSL (Australian Financial Services Licence authorised by ASIC), it is a case of buyer beware. It is illegal to publicly offer shares without an AFSL and if you do purchase shares in a greyhound from a person or organisation that does not have an AFSL, no matter what the agreement is, if there is a dispute with prizemoney, fees, or how the greyhound is being managed, you will have very little recourse for compensation through any statutory or legal body unless you instigate civil proceedings. Gold Muzzle Sales & Syndications Pty. Ltd. does not hold an AFS Licence at this point in time and as such, we do not publicly advertise shares in Syndicates - we can however provide you with a roadmap and checklist of how to best set up your own Syndicate.
